  • New Policies – Special Consideration and Unit Guide – approved by Academic Senate - 2008-11-25

    At its 7 October 2008 meeting, Academic Senate approved two new policies, one on Special Consideration and the other on Unit Guides.

  • Your say on our Sustainability Policy and Procedures - 2008-11-24

    Staff are invited to provide their feedback on the draft Sustainability Policy and Procedures.
  • Printing - 2008-09-11

    It has been decided to continue to monitor activities with regard to external printers.
  • Assessment Policy Approved by Academic Senate - 2008-09-05

    At its 12 August 2008 meeting, Academic Senate approved a new Assessment Policy and associated Procedures.
  • Teaching Index Policy Approved by Academic Senate - 2008-09-04

    At its 12 August 2008 meeting, Academic Senate approved a Teaching Index Policy and Procedures. This represents a mechanism for the distribution of funds directly to Departments for projects and processes aimed at improving and enhancing teaching.
  • Return of unspent Internal Research Grant allocations - 2008-06-27

    Internal Research Grants that had unspent balances as at 31 March 2008 and are non-continuing multi-year grants will have all such unspent balances removed from the grant accounts and returned to University funds.
  • Leukaemia Foundation National Research Program - 2008-06-20

    The Leukaemia Foundation is a national not-for-profit foundation dedicated to the care and cure of patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma, and related blood disorders. Through its National Research Program, the Foundation seeks to foster innovative research into the causes, diagnosis and treatment of these cancers, and the care of patients and families. 
  • French-Australian Science & Technology (FAST) Collaborative Research Projects - 2008-06-20

    The Department of Innovation, in conjunction with the Government of the Republic of France, have announced that Round Six (2008) of the French-Australian Science & Technology (FAST) Program. The Program is jointly managed by the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science & Research (Innovation) and its French counterparts, the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR) and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MAEE).
  • Call for proposals: Flagship Clusters, CSIRO Flagship Collaboration Fund - 2008-06-20

    Submissions are invited for participation in the fourth round of CSIRO Flagship Collaboration Clusters. Flagship Clusters are funded under the CSIRO Flagship Collaboration Fund to support large scale collaborative research activity with an emphasis on projects relevant to the goals of a National Research Flagship. Clusters are funded for up to three years at a minimum of $1 million per annum with expected co-investment by participating university or partner organisations.
  • Trial External Research-Based Engagement and Knowledge - 2008-04-28

    A trial audit of the University's external research-based engagement and knowledge transfer activities will take place with ACES and ICS  academic staff during May.
  • Policy Central - 2008-04-01

    A central website for all approved institution policies, procedures and guidelines - Policy Central has now been created.
  • Revised Deadline for MQ Announcements - 2008-03-18

    We have changed the deadline for approved messages to be sent to MQ Announcements by close of business the day prior to the message being sent out.
  • Standard Email Signature Block - 2008-01-30

    Standard email signature format for all staff.
  • HDR PROGRAM EXPENDITURE - 2007-12-17

    Regarding the future levels of HDR spending a significant increase in research funding for 2008 has been committed. However it is the responsibility of each Division’s management to ensure the operating budget includes an estimate of the amount of spending on HDR programs that will occur in any given year.
  • NHMRC Projects Grants - Notice of Intent to Apply in 2008 - 2007-12-11

    Planning is underway for the 2008 round of NHMRC Projects grants for funding in 2009.  Researchers are asked to advise the Research Office of their intention to submit an application.

  • ARC Discovery Projects Applicants - Notice of Intent to Apply - 2007-12-03

    The Research Office has received an enthusiastic response from potential researchers in relation to the next round of ARC Discovery-Projects. Any intending applicants who have not yet submitted the on-line form are reminded to do so within the next few days.
