Work Parties over Christmas
Colleagues,
For those of you attending Faculty, Office or other work events over the coming weeks, I hope you have an enjoyable holiday season. It is always a great time of year to catch up with colleagues and celebrate.
I would ask you though to be mindful of the University's Code of Conduct and your individual responsibilities in this regard. Behaviour that occurs at work organised functions is treated as work under relevant legislation. We would like everyone to enjoy their end of year events and this includes ensuring that staff can enjoy the events free from any discriminatory or harassing behaviour.
It is the responsibility of every employee to:
* Know and understand the University's Code of Conduct and Harassment policies
* Think carefully about his/ her behaviour and how it may impact on others
* Respect the rights of others and never encourage or condone harassment
* Ensure they use appropriate transport at the end of these functions.
