New Academic Promotions Policy
Professor Judyth Sachs, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Provost), has approved a new Academic Promotions Policy (and associated Procedures and Guidelines) for commencement from 1 January 2009. The Policy, developed over the last twelve months has incorporated feedback from a number groups within the University including Academic Senate and the Staff Consultative Group. It includes selection criteria to enable staff to better understand what experience, skills and achievements are expected for promotion to each academic Level in the three areas of scholarship - research,learning and teaching, and community engagement.
