Possible Delays to the Intersection of University Avenue and Herring Roads (Outgoing)
The University has received notification from Ryde Council of the commencement of paving works and street lighting upgrades to the new Macquarie University railway station, and foot path areas at street level, which surround the station's entrance and adjacencies of University Avenue and Herring Road.
Preliminary works have been completed, pedestrian footpath paving is currently under construction, with the placement & erection of smart pole street lights completing the work activity on the University property by 30 September.
Vehicles leaving the University from University Avenue into Herring Road will experience delays and possible traffic build-up periods during the construction phase.
To assist in alleviating congestion it would be advisable whenever possible to use alternate exit points from the University until 30 September.
