• New Learning and Research Centre Library - Commencement of Early Works - 2008-12-03

  On Wednesday 3 December 2008 the early works contractor for the project, A W Edwards Pty Ltd will commence the preliminary early works for the project.

• Changes to transport, traffic and pedestrian arrangements - 2008-11-28

  A reminder that as of 1 December 2008, pedestrian walkways, traffic and road configuration, signage and some bus stops will change.

  Electrolux has announced a call back of defective dishwashing machines.

  Following a long consultative process culminating in the establishment of a Space Guidelines Working party through June and July this year, the Vice-Chancellor has approved the latest version of these guidelines.

• Air Conditioning - 2008-11-07

  In an initiative to reduce the energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions of Macquarie University, new set points for air-conditioning (comfort control systems) are being rolled out across all University buildings.  

• Shuttle Bus to 299 Lane Cove Road - 2008-11-04

  A shuttle bus service between the main campus and 299 Lane Cove Road commenced in late 2006.  The service was a trial to assess patronage.

• Parking, traffic and transport arrangements from mid-November 2008 - 2008-10-28

  To help minimise any inconvenience over the next several months, all staff are invited to attend an Information Session on parking, traffic and transport arrangements during construction of the Library, Cochlea Global Head Office and the Research and Learning Centre.

• C5C Lift - 2008-10-23

  From Friday 21 November 2008 until Wednesday 24 December 2008 (5 weeks), the lift in building C5C will be unavailable for use.

• Shutdown Notice - 2008-10-21

  On  Tuesday 28 October 2008 a shutdown of all water services will occur in buildings W19A, W21A, W21B, Y6A and Y4A between 9am and 2pm due to essential maintenance.

• Accessible Parking - 2008-10-16

  To ensure safe parking and access to the campus during the construction of the New Learning and Research Building (C3C), the accessible parking spaces in the C1 and W1 car parks have been relocated to the W4 car park adjacent to and facing Western Road.

• Possible Delays to the Intersection of University Avenue and Herring Roads (Outgoing) - 2008-09-12

  The University has received notification from Ryde Council of the commencement of paving works and street lighting upgrades to the new Macquarie University railway station, and foot path areas at street level, which surround the station's entrance and adjacencies of University Avenue and Herring Road.

• Electrical Services Shutdown - 2008-08-19

  On Saturday 30 August 2008, a shutdown of all electrical power will occur in buildings C1A, C3A, C3B, C4B, S1A, S11A, C3A and W3A, between the hours of 6-11am, to allow for work in regards to a new sub main connection.

• City of Ryde Council Carrying Out Works at Macquarie University - 2008-06-24

  The University has received notification from Ryde Council of the commencement of paving works and street lighting upgrades to the new Macquarie University railway station, foot path areas at street level, which surrounds the stations entrance and adjacencies of University avenue and Herring Road.

• E8A Level 1 Science Laboratories Refurbishment - 2008-06-20

  A reminder - the Office of Facilities Management is undertaking a major refurbishment of the Level 1 Science laboratories at Building E8A.  This refurbishment will continue  until Mid December 2008.

  Please be advised that Technology Place, which is the entrance into the campus off Talavera Road and the M2 will be closed to traffic from Monday 17 March to mid August 2008.

  On Sunday 16 December Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre will close at 4pm.
