'Trash the Habit' Quit Smoking Campaign
Tuesday 27 May to Thursday 29 May will see the launch of the ‘Trash the Habit’ Quit Smoking Campaign on campus.
From 11am - 2pm on each of the three days there will be two marquees set up, one near the library, and one near the Globe Café.
The purpose of the event is to launch the ‘Trash the Habit’ brand, and to raise awareness of the upcoming campaign. Anyone may register their interest, and chat with a number of staff who are helping at the event.
The campaign will consist of a support network for students and staff on campus that choose to quit smoking. This will be an ongoing campaign as Macquarie University strives to create the healthiest campus in Australia by 2015.
There will be many different events run by various departments across campus, including activities to support everyone who chooses to quit smoking, such as stress management seminars, social sport competition, counselling and many others. You will be able to sign up to the campaign at the event.
Also, on Wednesday 28 May, a Clinical Hypnotherapist will be on campus running 2 sessions from 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm, Level 3 of U@MQ Building.
Then join us for the launch of the 'Trash the Habit Campaign' on 28 May 2008, with Clinical Hypnotherapist, Matthew Favaloro, and kick the habit for good. To take advantage of this wonderful opportunity, available to all on campus, book today for Matthew's Stop Smoking Workshop. Sessions run from 10-11.30am and 2-3.30am. Included in the 1.5 hour workshop is a slide presentation: 'What Are You Really Smoking' plus a full Hypnosis session to help you beat the habit forever. The cost is discounted to $75.00 per participant (normally $150.00 in clinic - save 50%). Eftpos facilities will be available on the day but bookings are essential to make this a success all round.
