Relay for Life

The world's biggest overnight fundraising walk is coming to Macquarie University on 20 and 21 September 2008.

It is called Relay for Life, and will bring the university, local business and residential communities together for a great cause - to raise much needed funds and awareness for cancer research and care.

There will be food, entertainment and fun activities provided in an electric carnival-like atmosphere, as well as inspirational Opening, Candlelight and Closing Ceremonies to celebrate the purpose of Relay for Life.

Come along and get involved in what will surely be one of the biggest and most exciting events on the university calendar.

You can get involved by registering  your team online at www.relay.cancercouncil.com.au/relay.html?relay_id=250. Registration costs $11 and covers your relay shirt and breakfast. Once you have registered your team online you can tell your friends or co-workers to join your team online.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get your department, co-workers, family or group of friends together for an amazing cause, whilst having a fantastic time!

Please register with our Survivors Coordinator Shaun Star at shaun_star@hotmail.com.  Please see the attached invite here.
