Brightest Young Minds Summit

Not just another talkfest, Brightest Young Minds, which is being hosted by Macquarie University, is a 5 day life-changing event that provides 18-25 year-olds with a platform to launch their own social initiatives and affect issues that they are personally passionate about - eg www.bipolarexpedition.org/ as an example from 2007.

Delegates are taken through a process whereby they are shown how social responsibility can enhance their careers and lives, not simply require sacrifice. They also develop an innate confidence, inspired by seeing that they truly can have a direct tangible impact on Australia’s biggest problems by implementing solutions they themselves derive.

Facilitated by Hugh Evans, Young Australian of the Year 2004, and including a sparkling line up of inspirational speakers, the summit to be held 6-10 July 2008 (university holidays), at Macquarie University, includes fun social outings with great people, is not to be missed.

We want the very best emerging leaders from each discipline - from science to the arts, from politics to community service. Applicants from right around the country first fill out a written application form online, and the top 200 are short-listed and interviewed by a quasi-independent panel- leaving a truly exceptional top 100 to attend the event. If you think you have what it takes to make an impact on the future of Australia then apply; visit www.bym.com.au or email info@bym.com.au for more information.
